Electrotherapy: fundamentals and advanced application

A electrotherapy is a safe and effective tool in the treatment of different clinical conditions. Based on the principles of bioelectromodulation, this course explores the different forms of electrical stimulation, from the fundamentals of current conduction and modulation to specific and advanced clinical applications. The integration of innovative techniques allows a complete mastery of electrophysical resources for analgesia, muscle strengthening, tissue regeneration and neuromuscular re-education.

This program offers an in-depth theoretical and practical approach, combining science and clinical application. Essential concepts such as waveform analysis, the interaction of currents with biological tissues and the customization of treatments will be explored. The course highlights the use of different types of current, such as interferential, faradic, KOTS and galvanic, applied to muscle strengthening, pain treatment, spasticity, circulatory modulation and electrodiagnosis.

With a dynamic structure and a strong emphasis on practical application, participants will have the opportunity to experimenting, evaluating and adjusting electrotherapeutic parameters to suit the individual and their biological and clinical circumstances. The main purpose is to provide a technical and clinical mastery that expands the possibilities of treatment in physiotherapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation, preparing professionals for the optimized, safe and effective use of electrotherapy in various clinical scenarios.

OBJECTIVES

Define and describe the biophysical principles of electrotherapy
Identify and classify the different types of current used in clinical practice
Explain the relationship between the parameters of electrical stimulation (frequency, pulse duration, intensity) and the physiological responses in muscle, nerve and vascular tissues.
Correctly place the electrodes and parameterize the currents for different therapeutic objectives
Apply advanced electropalpation and sonoelotropation techniques
Use interferential, faradic, KOTS and galvanic currents for analgesia, muscle strengthening, neuromuscular re-education and optimization of microcirculation.
Selecting and applying personalized clinical protocols, adjusting the stimulation parameters to the patient's pathophysiology.
Differentiate the effects of different waveforms and their interaction with normal and pathological tissues.
Evaluating the results of electrotherapeutic techniques, identifying response patterns and adjusting therapeutic strategies according to the patient's evolution.
Correlate electrodiagnostic findings with clinical patterns of neuromuscular dysfunction, using tests such as rheobase, chronaxis and the I/T curve.
Develop personalized therapeutic protocols, combining different electro-stimulation modalities based on scientific evidence
Integrating electrotherapy into multidisciplinary rehabilitation and performance strategies, collaborating with other areas of health and sport.
Innovate in the application of electrotherapy, adapting techniques and adjusting parameters to emerging and challenging clinical contexts.

Why will I be better with this course?

Because you will master electrotherapeutic technologies, understanding not only the technical and scientific fundamentals, but also developing a critical vision and clinical autonomy. You will be able to apply electrotherapy in a safe, effective and personalized way, adjusting the parameters to the patient's needs and optimizing therapeutic results. With this course, you will be prepared to intervene in different clinical and high-performance contexts, expanding your skills and professional impact.
